Well I’m tired. I just finished working out, and I usually do that in the morning but after my late night last night, I slept in this morning and woke up in time to go pick up the kiddies from their dad’s.
So for yesterday, to start our evening off, we went to dinner at Bahama Breeze. It was not a low calorie low fat evening, mind you, but it was for my birthday, so we were going to enjoy our food. We started off with coconut shrimp which I actually tried and liked. I know, I amaze myself too. Then I ate jerk chicken pasta which was so scrumptious and delightfully filling. So yummy. Good food. Good company when my husband is with me :).
Eating shrimp, and doesn’t my ring look BLINGIN?
After dinner we went to see The Lion King, and let me tell you – it was fabulous! The music, the dancing, the costumes, the acting – all terrific. I am so happy that Jacob finally took me to see it. It was so much fun! I want to see it someday again when we feel like dropping $200 on a show. Chances are it won’t happen again :).
Inside the theater waiting for the show to start.
So after the show I headed to the movies with my sister to see the midnight showing of Eclipse. Don’t really care for the Twilight movies, but it’s fun to get together with the other ladies.
Becca and me with my Sonic Ice :)
So it was a wonderful evening which didn’t end until 3am. I came home to a husband who was peacefully sleeping. Luckily the boys were at their dad’s so I was able to sleep in. I wouldn’t have gone to a midnight movie otherwise!
Thanks to my hubby for taking me out for my birthday. I had a wonderful time with my favorite person in the world. Love you, honey!
