6-28-10 It's Hard to Eat Healthy

I love the days when my husband doesn't mind if I just order a pizza for dinner. Today was one of those days. I'm so out of ideas for healthy dinners. The only thing I cook anymore is chicken or fish with some kind of vegetable side. That's what we've been eating for the past 6 weeks, and I need some new healthy recipes. That's very hard to find! I just want 30 healthy recipes. Of all the things to eat in this world surely there are 30 healthy delicious recipes out there. I'm going to make it my goal to find this. And I'll share it with the world. That's my next project.

On a good note, Teagan threw less tantrums today. I found that when I tell him no it's important that I distract him with something else to avoid the fit. So I'd tell him no and then take him to do something appropriate. It's hard to get anything done, though. He's very much an attention hog, not the type to play on his own or even to play with Easton. He's always gotta have Mama beside him. And I don't mind doing things with him when I don't have to pee or get dressed or cook dinner or do something for Easton. But I have to do those things every day. I just have to figure out a way to get this guy to be a little more independent and not so angry about Mama telling him no. We'll get there.

We've begun planning our Edgel family vacation to the beach in August, and it's going to be a ton of fun. Also, can't wait for tomorrow. Lion King for my b-day and then midnight showing of Twilight. It's going to be a terrific day!
