Today we had 11 am church. Do you know how good that feels to just say out loud? 11 o’ clock church. We were 8:30 all last year. That is just too early to have church. I don’t think we ever made it on time. But we were on time today. I even got to shower and eat before church. The girls are still here, but they leave tomorrow morning to head back to Arizona. It has been so much fun to have them here. This evening we went to eat dinner at my parents’ house. The girls got to see my parents and Grandma Hansen and meet Sadie for the first time. We had a nice evening hanging out, chatting, and listening to Joe play the guitar. I don’t know how that kid is still single. Here are some pictures of all of us hanging out at my parents today.
My dad was saying goodnight to the grandkids tonight (he has to be to work at 5 am so he goes to bed around 7:30), and Teagan and Sadie said, “Ok, coming Grandpa!” They followed him upstairs to snuggle and watch Dinosaur. He’s in heaven if the grandkids will snuggle with him before he goes to sleep, and Sadie never will, but tonight she followed Teagan right up there and snuggled for a bit. They are too cute, and my dad just eats it up. He was made to be a grandpa. That’s why I’m his favorite – I’ve given him the most grandchildren.
Me and my pretty sister and my cute brother who is single and likes long walks on the beach and girls with pretty feet. Just kidding about the walks on the beach. Not about the feet.
When we got home Teagan asked for a blanket so I gave him one and headed upstairs to get their jammies and came back down to find Easton and Teagan snuggled up next to each other just talking and laughing. I can’t wait to add another little boy into this house. These two are going to eat him up.
We had a great weekend and New Year’s with our family. We will be sad to say goodbye to Erin, Kaylee, and Julia, but we have had a great time with them here.
