Logan has done better the past two nights with his sleeping. He was pretty good about waking up every 3 hours, and that’s not my favorite, but it’s doable. I can get through the day feeling like a human being at least. I do, however, await the day when he will being sleeping through the night. Some people love the newborn phase, but I am not one of them, and it has everything to do with the fact that they don’t sleep through the night. Otherwise, we’d be pals because they’re so cute and cuddly as newborns. I did love to look as my sweet little Logan’s squishy face last night as he slept next to me. I’m not big on co-sleeping, but for the first few weeks I’ll do whatever it takes to get some shut eye.
I was able to get some cleaning done and other things taken care of today. I fit back into my pre-pregnancy jeans, but I needed to lose weight before I was pregnant anyway, so this is nothing to brag about. Hopefully my weight that I never lost from Teagan will come off this time.
The boys and I hung out at home today. In a few weeks we’ll be able to do more, but for now we are adjusting to our new life with Logan. Bec and Jud came over around 5:30 and brought us some groceries, easy things for the boys to eat for lunch and stuff like that. They also brought diapers and some cute onesies. We were very appreciative of all of it. The boys got to play with Sadie for a bit, and that’s always a bonus for them. For our FHE activity tonight (we didn’t get to it Monday) we finally dyed eggs with the boys. We bought the kit before Logan arrived and had planned on doing it the next day, but Logan was born that day so we’ve been promising the boys that we’d do it. They had fun, of course, as children always do with those simple little activities.
Tomorrow I am doing pictures for my friend Wendy who had her baby 4 weeks ago. We need to get them done before her little lady gets too old, so tomorrow is the day. Patti is going to come over and watch the boys while I do the pictures. My friend Cami is also bringing us dinner. So it should be an easy day. Hopefully. Maybe I will get outside and get some fresh air.
