Friday, April 13th

My little Logan has slept better the past couple nights. I’ve only had to feed him once in the middle of the night around 3:30-4:00am. I feed him around 11:30, then he goes to bed, wakes up around 3:30, eats, goes back to sleep, and wakes up at 7 or 7:30 to eat again. That’s been the schedule for the last 2 nights, so hopefully he won’t regress but will just get better. After all,  a rested mom is a happy mom.

Yesterday I did a lot of cleaning. I swept and mopped downstairs and my bedroom, vacuumed upstairs and down, did laundry, cleaned toilets, sinks and mirrors, did dishes and dusted. It all needed to be done, but I really only made sure it was done because my friend Wendy from church was coming over to have her baby’s newborn pictures done. Since she was coming upstairs in my room, the whole house needed to be presentable. And what if she needed to use the restroom? The toilets and sinks and mirrors needed to be clean just in case. I felt very accomplished after everything was done and happy to feel like I was back in my old routine.

Wendy came around 4pm to do pictures. Mom Edgel came over and hung out with the boys while I did pictures. After pictures, my friend Cami from our ward brought us bbq chicken pizzas for dinner. Jacob got home a little bit late because he went to his dad’s to work on his brakes.

Easton and Teagan are loving Logan. All day long it’s “Mom, can I kiss him?” If I’m in the bathroom and Logan starts crying while he’s in his swing, Teagan will quickly run to his swing and sit in front of him and start singing The Wheels on the Bus, Abc’s, and Jingle Bells. It is so cute to see him try to soothe Logan. He’s such a big boy now, and Easton’s practically a teenager. Not really, but he’s just so old these days. And so helpful. I love these boys, all 3 of them.

We don’t have anything planned for today. I still need to shower and wash my hair. I did do a few photos of Logan. Newborn portraits are not my specialty, but these are decent enough. He’s really cute, at least! He’s laying on the blanket I made for Easton when he was a baby.
