Yesterday I went to Patti’s house around 10am so her sister Valerie could meet Logan. We wended up all going to lunch at Café Rio. Janea also came with us. Mark picked Easton up from school and took him to see some snakes at a pet store. After they were done, he brought Easton back to their house, and we hung out for a little while. Then I went to Burlington Coat Factory to get the boys some church clothes and Logan a blessing outfit while Patti watched the boys. Once I got back to her house, I packed the boys up and we headed home. We didn’t do too much, just had FHE and stayed home.
I got a lot of laundry done this morning. Since this baby came, I feel quite accomplished if I get anything done around the house. After getting laundry done and myself ready, it was time to pick Easton up from school. From there I grabbed some KFC and headed to the doctor for Logan’s 2 week appointment. He weighed 8 lbs 14 oz, and when we went 3 days after he was born he was 7 lbs 5 oz. So he’s had a good gain in 2 weeks. From the doctor we went to Coleen’s house to go swimming with Becca and Sadie. The boys really love her pool and the fact that it has fountains.
We were there for a couple hours, hanging out an watching the kiddos play. We got home around 4:30 and I made dinner and cleaned the house a bit. After dinner tonight, we went to Lowe’s to look at cabinets and some other things we need. We want to add cabinets to a spot in the kitchen that has lower cabinets but no uppers so that we can have more storage space. My kitchen is open for how tiny my house is, but we don’t have a lot of storage, and with adding bottles to our house, we definitely need more space.
Teagan peed on the carpet today, which is really weird because he never has accidents. I asked him why in the world he would pee in his pants, and he kept saying “because I did.” So when I asked, “But why did you?” he finally just shrugged his shoulders and said to me, “Tings happen.” That is true, things do happen. I had a pretty good laugh from that. I don’t know how he thought of that. He’s been a bit whinier since Logan arrived. I’m sure he’s just adjusting to not being the baby anymore. Which is probably why he randomly peed on the carpet. He also peed in the the van today while we were eating lunch in the car at the doctor’s office, but he did tell me 3 times he had to pee and asked if he could just pee in the bush, so it was sort of my fault. I didn’t realize that he had to go so badly. I hope Teags adjusts to being the big brother, though. I’m trying my hardest to make sure the other two boys don’t feel like the come second to the baby. Logan takes up a lot of my time, but the other boys need to feel like they are just as loved as before. Somehow I’ll manage.
I took these pics a couple days ago, and they aren’t that cute, but I should post them anyway.
