I had my prenatal appointment this morning. First time out of the house since Wednesday when I took Easton to school and picked him up. I feel better today, still quite congested and not a lot of energy, but good enough to drive to my appointment and not have to stay in bed. I was horrified when I stepped on the scale and saw that I had lost 7 lbs since last Monday. I figured I’d lost a couple lbs. but I didn’t think 7! That puts me at a 9 lb gain – and DEFINITELY my smallest pregnancy ever. She checked my cervix, and I was dilated to about a 2 or 3, but nothing too much going on down there. That’s fine because I don’t want Logan making any appearances before Wednesday.
The boys are still coughing. Easton is coughing up his lungs, I swear. Since he got bronchitis mid February, he hasn’t been able to kick his cough, and it just sparked up again since he got sick this time. I feel bad that he seriously sounds like he’s going to cough up his insides, and he gets a tickle where he just can’t stop the coughing. I hope he can be over this soon. 2 months is a long time to have a cough. Teagan is coughing too, but just a little bit and not in the way Easton is. Easton was hacking all through the night, and I kept thinking he was awake, so I’d go in to make him drink some water but he’d be fast asleep and wouldn’t get up. I just hate to see my kids sick.
My MIL came over this morning to watch the boys while I went to my appointment. She scrubbed my stove and cleaned my microwave, 2 chores that I don’t think I ever do myself. Jacob will do it, but I hate those things, so I was quite appreciative. Our moms have been such a help to us through this sickness. We wouldn’t have made it without them.
