Jacob’s brother Tyler got married yesterday. It was a really long day. I was supposed to be up at 6:30 so that I could get ready and feed the boys and drop them off to my mom’s so that Jacob and I could be to the temple by 8:30 am, but when my alarm went off at 6:30 I decided to close my eyes for just a couple more minutes that turned into an hour and twenty minutes longer than it was supposed to. So I woke up at 7:50, which was when I was supposed to leave, and then I woke Jacob up and told him to get ready and go without us so that at least one of us was at the sealing. So he got ready fast and headed to the temple while I got ready and then woke the boys up, fed them, and got them ready to go be in some pictures at the Temple. I dropped Logan off to my mom at about 9:30 am, and then the older boys and I headed to the Temple to be in pictures. After the temple, we hung around at the luncheon, and then we all headed back to my mom’s house to hang out until the ring ceremony. Jacob went home for a bit so that he could get some things done. I didn’t want to drive all the way back to my house just to have to drive all the way back to my mom’s side of town, so I just stayed at my mom’s. Logan was a little sweetie for her, and for the most part he has not been fussy lately. He’s been more like his old self, content to sit on his play mat and play with a blankie or just kick and make noises.
The ring ceremony started at 5:30, so I got the older boys back into their clothes and headed to the church at 5. I didn’t do any pictures for the first part of the day, but I was in charge of shooting the ring ceremony and the reception so I was basically there from 5 to 9 pm. Jacob went back and forth picking up Logan to bring him to the reception for a bit and then taking all the boys back to my mom’s until the reception was over. Tyler and Breanne had a pretty fun reception, there was a good DJ and more dancing than a typical Mormon reception. They are a cute couple. They are moving to Cedar City once they get back from their honeymoon, so we probably won’t see them too much, but the boys are excited to have another aunt.
Today we did the usual. Jacob did get called in to work because he was on-call this week, so he had to drive across town and do a drug test, but then he met us at church right after Sacrament was over. Logan was pretty good while we were at church today even though he didn’t really get his nap, and I wandered the halls wishing I were with my young women. Oh well. After church I came home and put Logan down for a nap, and Jacob took the boys to his parents’ house for a bit. After Logan woke up I fed him and then headed to my parents’ house, and the boys met us there about 6:30.
Friday evening, sweet little Laura came over and cut my hair. She chopped off about 4-5 inches. My hair falls out like crazy after I have babies, so I just find that it’s better to go shorter after babies are born to let my hair grow back in. I really like it. And I really like Laura. She really is the cutest, and plus she gives free hair cuts to soon-to-be sisters. How great is that?
Oh, and Mr. Logan pooped yesterday and twice today. So maybe whatever Dr. McKay did really helped. Fingers crossed.
