Saturday, August 11th

This week has been semi-busy. We went swimming on Monday evening at Amanda’s with friends who came down from Reno to be sealed in the Las Vegas Temple on Saturday. Amanda had a get together at her house for them, and it was a lot of fun. Jacob was at work, of course, so it was just me and the boys. On Tuesday we went swimming with friends again at Brittany Anderson’s in-laws’ house. Wednesday I had cub scouts, and it was fine, but I’m still missing my girls and hoping I quit feeling so depressed about being released soon. I’m sure I will as time passes, but for now I’m still in semi-mourning. I’ve also done a few crafts with the boys this week. Now that Logan is 4 months, there’s no reason I can’t get back into being a good mom to the other two children. School will start in 2 weeks from Monday, and I am quite happy about that since Easton and Teagan fight too much. Plus Easton needs to be learning something. It’s been way too hot to play outside in the early part of the day, so I feel like the boys have been having too much TV time. I’ve written out a schedule for the next couple weeks and for Teagan when Easton goes back to school, and hopefully I will do a good job at sticking to my schedule for the most part so the boys aren’t just losing brain cells sitting in front of the TV all day. That’s my plan, anyway. This week we painted the boys’ catapults and made pictures out of tissue paper. I like the look of concentration on Teagan’s face in the pictures that he’s painting his catapult.

And of course what would a post be without a few pictures of our little Logi Bear? He just brightens our day with his sweet little smile and big bright eyes. Too cute. He’s really starting to fill out, no more scrawny baby boy around here. He’s been doing so well on his schedule, sleeping 12-13 hours a night, but he’s been waking up lately an hour into his naps and just talking away. Sometime he goes back to sleep and other times he’ll just talk and play for a half hour and finally start crying. He’s so pleasant in the mornings now and right at bedtime, just smiley and adorable. We are certainly in love.

On Thursday Jacob spent most of the day with the boys at Nellis Air Force Base looking at airplanes with Darrell Stubbs (Bec’s father-in-law). They were gone until about 5:30 pm, so Logan and I went on some errands to Michaels and the grocery store. We had FHE that night too. I think that will be our FHE night now that I don’t have mutual anymore. Friday, Jacob and I got up and worked out together, and then we got ready and ran a few errands to Lowe’s, Office Depot, and Target. I just needed a few more things for my kitchen island, and I’m thinking of painting a giant giraffe on the wall in Logan’s room. I’ve decided to wait to do the cabinets until October when it isn’t too hot for me to be sanding and painting cabinets in the garage. Right now, it’s an inferno out there so I’m not about to be hanging out in the garage for any reason.

Last night we went to Colton’s birthday party (my friend Sherrelle’s son), and the boys had a good time playing in the bounce house and hitting the pinata. We got home from that about 8:30, so I got Logan into bed kind of late. Then we put the big kids in bed and Jacob and I drank smoothies together and watched This Means War on Clearplay. Funny movie but pretty dirty without the Clearplay.

And this morning we went to Aunt Rise’s house to meet baby Claire, cousin David’s and Katie’s little girl. They were down from Utah, along with Ryan, so went over to say hi. Brad and Trish and Bill and Amy were there with their families too, and so was my mom, Grandma Hansen, and Joe and Laura. I love talking to Trish – I am so glad Brad married her because she is my favorite. We’re going to get the boys together to play at her house on Wednesday. For the rest of the day, we don’t have any plans. I talked to Becca yesterday about possibly getting together today, so that might happen but otherwise we’re just hanging out together as a family.
