7-27-10

Well, I am back in business! The internet was down for 5 days, but we just got back Sunday from UT so i only had to feel disconnected for 2 days. We had a wonderful time up at our condo. Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery, and fun family time with my favorite boys in the world. We got to see a fireworks show and got a puppy and gave her away yesterday. Busy weekend.

The boys went to their dad's today, so this evening Jacob and I went to dinner at Claim Jumper. Always a yummy time at that place. Certainly not a low calorie evening, but who's counting? Oh that's right, I am. Today we've been married for 5 months. Seems longer. Together for 8 months. Crazy. I love him so much. I am thankful that I can say that every day. And I'm thankful that when we're driving in the car having a casual conversation my sweet husband stops and in loving awe says to me, "You are so beautiful." Perfect. Absolutely perfect.

My running is going well again. Yesterday and today I found that my body felt like it wanted to keep running and running. But my lungs couldn't take it. I'm really beginning to like this whole running thing. I can see why people love it, especially as their endurance builds up. My husband is a really good runner, typically running around 3-4 miles a day. I hope to be up to that one day.

Well I'll post pictures from our weekend excursion tomorrow, but for now I'm off to bed to snuggle up to the sweet man that Heavenly Father so graciously blessed me with. We are truly a blessed little family, and I'm so grateful for the quiet moments when a knowing settles into my mind and my heart assuring me that Heavenly Father is mindful of our needs and loves us with a complete godly love. I had one of those moments last night while laying in bed talking about the complexities of life with my husband. A knowing, an assurance came over me and said, "Rachel, I love you and your family, and it will all work out." I'm grateful when my faith is confirmed by a simple witness from the Spirit that the Lord will take care of us in our every concern.
