I wish that we had a swimming pool so that when it's 110 degrees outside we can go swimming whenever we want to. I don't dare go to a public pool on a Saturday. I feel like swimming today with my little family.
We went fishing yesterday with my dad and uncle. The boys had a lot of fun, but it was really humid AND hot so I pretty much sweat the whole time. Easton didn't catch any fish, which left him cursing the fish and saying that fish are stupid. But nobody ended up catching anything at all. Still a good time, though. We came home from that and put the boys in their beds, got showered up, and took a late night trip to In n Out for a burger and fries. Broke 3 of my rules :).
This morning I went to my friend Amanda's bridal shower, and now I'm home with my guys trying to figure out what to do. It's so hot outside so there aren't too many things that we can do. That's why a nice dip in the pool would be very desirable. I wanted to get my journaling out of the way so that I don't have to do it this evening. It's hard to get journaling in every day. Especially at night when I'm tired and Jacob and I are ready for bed. Journaling is one thing I'm NOT going to miss when this wellness challenge is over. That's for sure. I'll keep up on it weekly but daily is super hard!
My hubs is downstairs rescuing me from a whiny Teagan. He always knows when to come to his woman's rescue. I love that about him. I love lots about him. Some women at the bridal shower today were complaining that their husbands can't do anything for themselves, and I felt super grateful. Jacob is completely self-sufficient and always helpful. He cleans a lot and helps with the boys, compliments my beauty all the time, and never forgets to tell me how wonderful I am and how grateful he is to have me. Sounds to me like I'm the one that scored. Good men are hard to find, so Heavenly Father brought one right to me.
