The boys came home yesterday. It’s always a sweet reunion when I’ve gone a few days without them. It’s nice to be able to get things done but I feel so naked without my children, and I actually feel less productive when they aren’t around. Jacob and I were able to go the the Temple Thursday night which was quite nice. But I’m still glad my sweethearts are home until their next visit to their dad’s house.
Today was a beautiful day. Nice cool weather, the boys were delightful, and I feel grateful to be surrounded by my sweet family. Jacob’s parents were in UT, so we spent the day with my family at my parents. It is so fun to be all grown up and watch my kids play with my siblings kids. I remember being a teenager and wondering what that would be like. And I love it.
We had plenty of food at my parents. By plenty I mean ridiculous amounts. The kids had so much fun running around playing with each other and with grandpa and grandma. I love doting grandparents. They make my job so much easier when they’re around to cater to the cries of my children. We were all there, even Adam with his girlfriend Amber and her son Anthony. We really like Amber – she has changed Adam into quite the man.
So those were our Easter festivites. Like I said, I LOVE my family!
I also have some good news about my running. Lately I have been so pumped to do my runs, and I’m quickly finding it to be addicting. On Friday morning I ran 4.42 miles! That’s the farthest I’ve run yet, so last week was a good week for running. 3.18 miles was the farthest I’d ever gone, and then I upped it to 4.42. Next week for my long run I’m going to hit 5 miles. I’m super stoked and super pumped to see how far I can push myself. I LOVE the feeling of accomplishment that I get when I’m done.
Last night I did some pictures for a 50th b-day party for someone in my ward. Tomorrow I’ve got engagement pics for Staci and Clayton.
After this week all of my big projects for school will be done, and I can actually relax again. School has been mentally exhausting for me, and I can’t wait for this semester to be done. I’m glad I’m doing it, but going to school full time in NOT easy.
