Going to the Chapel . . .

And we're going to get married! So I'm engaged to that sweet guy I keep talking about. Woo hoo! Who woulda known. It's kinda funny that when Jacob and I met back in September we had a few people that were trying to set us up (my bro-in-law, our relief society pres) but we were both not interested. So we were strictly friends with no intentions of dating each other. And here we are.

It's kinda funny cause we started getting to know each other better and being good friends, having serious conversations, and I realized that there was more to this Jacob Edgel than I realized. I started to like him from some of the times that we chatted on the phone when I had some things bothering me, and I realized that there was a level of spirituality and maturity that he had that I hadn't noticed until I got to know him better. And then he started going out of his way to be nice to me and say nice things to me and save me seats in church and hang out where I was hanging out. Cute, I know :).

But we actually kinda started off just with me joking that he should take me to see Lion King, and I would tell him that every time I saw him, in front of people or whenever. I was just kidding at first, bugging him about it all the time, and then he started joking back until our joking was not so much joking anymore at all. So I noticed that we were being more serious, got kinda scared, told him we should just be friends, and then I was sad cause I realized I wasn't okay with that, and that I secretly had a little crush. So then I told him, he asked me to be his date for his work Christmas party, and from then on he wanted me badly :). But I wanted him badly too. He has been so great to me and my boys. We get each other, we're compatible, and his loving is the best.

So for the proposal - simple, sweet, perfect. My favorite thing to do with Jacob is anything spiritual. I always missed that with my ex because he wasn't at a place in his life where our goals and desires matched up. So I love to read scrips and pray with Jacob because that's when I feel closest to him. I know that two people who love each other and put the Lord first and each other second cannot fail. A spiritual man is a sexy man. :) :) Anyway, we had a personal, spiritual moment together, and afterward I was getting ready to leave. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Simple, sweet, perfect. No fire trucks involved, no helicopter ride over the beach with a proposal written out in coconuts, but perfect. The end.

March 27th is the big day. I love planning weddings. Can't wait!
