I’ve been thinking lately about some changes I’d like to make in my life. Changes that will help me organize my life and be a better mother, wife, and friend to those in need. So here they are:
1. Be dressed and ready every morning by 10 am. And on the days that I don’t work out in the morning, be dressed and ready by 8 am.
2. Read my scriptures during the day so that Jacob and I can read together at night.
3. Kneel to pray morning and night and be consistent in our husband and wife prayers.
4. Stick to my weekly cleaning routine so that the house stays orderly and clean.
5. Lose at least 40lbs by the end of 2012 (depending on how much I gain by April).
6. Run a half marathon towards the end of 2012.
7. Spend more time playing with my children and doing activities with them that are productive and educational.
8. Learn to see my worth and believe in it no matter what the world would make me feel about myself.
9. Limit the boys’ time watching television.
10. Improve my photography skills and grow my business.
11. Learn to sew.
12. Go to school full-time for another semester.
13. Read more church literature and magazines so that I can be a better teacher.
14. Do my visiting teaching each month and become friends with the ladies I serve.
15. Take more pictures and journal at least 2 times a week.
16. Cook dinner 4 times a week.
17. Live a healthier lifestyle and get to bed before 11 during the week.
18. Spend quality time with my husband so that we never lose that “in love” feeling.
19. Show more patience for my children and stop responding with frustration.
20. Be diligent in my church calling and responsibilities.
21. Grow a garden, or at least attempt to.
22. Get out of debt.
23. Attend the Temple 1-2 times each month.
24. Buy a family vehicle.
25. Have FHE every week.
I’m going to cross things off my list and evaluate my progress as time goes on, so I’ll come back to this list often. They are good righteous goals, and I know that if I exercise self-discipline and prioritize, the Lord will help me to achieve them.
