5-6-11 Sweetness and the Not So Sweetness of School

My sweet mother took my boys yesterday so that I could get some school work done. I have been working like crazy, doing papers and reading pages in my history book but my 6 week courses are killing me. So much work! And it just feels like a lot of busy work. Anyway, my parents saved the day again by having the boys over last night until this evening. I got 2 papers and a chapter read. And there’s still more but I am almost done.

Tonight after I got home from taking pics of my sis-in-law Janea, the boys and Jacob and I were cuddling on the couch watching a movie, and Easton says, “I love this movie. Mom, what things are your favorite things?” I thought he meant about the movie, and it was just a dumb cartoon so I didn’t really like anything about the movie. I just said, “I don’t know.”  He said, “No like is it your new house, your tv, or things like that.” I said, “I don’t know, what’s your favorite?” But you know Easton – he’s always ready to melt my heart. So he said, “My favorite things are daddy, mommy, and Teagan.” And he wasn’t being a suck up, he was in a serious mood. Sweetness. That’s what I mean by sweetness.

Oh my goodness, I almost forgot! Jacob and I got our letter back from the First Presidency so now we can be sealed. I felt like there was something important going on, and that’s it. We have our date set for May 21st so as long as Jacob can get off work, that’s what it will be. We are so excited.

My life has been pure busyness lately. I’m swamped with school, busy with the boys, watching my brother Anthony’s daughter a couple times a week, working from home for my BIL’s company a couple hours a day, trying to do camp director stuff, editing pics, and fitting mothering, schooling Easton, cleaning, and exercising into my day. It’s a wondrous even if I can take 2 hours out of my day to shower. But as soon as school is over I can just relax. I just have to make it a couple more weeks.

Oh, also, last week the Harrises came from San Diego to stay with us for a night before heading up to Salt Lake. It was FANTASTIC to see them. I love love love Jami and Jon, and Easton loved playing with Allie and Regan. I have only one picture of Jami and I and it’s on Jacob’s phone so I’ll post it later.

I better get to bed. Morning always comes surprisingly early. And bedtime seems to come surprisingly fast. NEVER enough time in the day. That is a mother’s motto for sure.
