Holy heck, it’s the new year yet again! This keeps happening . Time keeps moving forward at what feels like an ever-increasing rate. Is that just because I’m getting older? I always hear old people say that time flies, and it wasn’t until I got older that I started saying and noticing that too. Must be an old people thing. I didn’t mean to let so many days go by without blogging. But we decided to put our house up for sale, so I’ve been busily working trying to get our house ready. I spent most of the past two weeks sanding, priming, painting, and staining cabinets, and I am really happy with how my cabinets turned out. But it was a LOT of work. I went to bed so very late, 4:30 one morning. I’m glad it’s done. I still have to put a coat on the inside of the cabinets and do some touch up staining and then poly coat everything. But I’ll get to it. Our house is on the market now, and I don’t know if I want it to sell. It’s not a short sale, but it won’t be worth it to sell if we don’t make as much off of it as we want to. We have a super low house payment, and we only want to give that up if it’s worth it.
We had a wonderful Christmas, as we do every year. Jacob was off from Thursday until Wednesday, and that was terrific. We didn’t have the boys last year because they were with their dad, so it was nice to have them. We spent Christmas Eve working on cabinets and then went to Jacob’s mom’s family and afterwards to my dad’s family like we do every year. Christmas Day was spent with Jacob’s parents, then the boys went to Adam’s for a couple hours, and finally we went to my parents’ for the evening. The boys were showered with gifts and they loved everything they got. We love being so close to family. It is a wonderful thing to be able to have all these family moments together.
The boys have been sick since Sunday, the 30th. Easton got his croupy thing, but it was really bad. He’s also had a fever and earaches. Teagan woke up in the night Tuesday night throwing up and with a fever. And Logan woke up Wednesday morning with a bad cough and slight fever. So it’s hit them all at once. Easton and Teagan were much better today, though. Easton’s cough has loosened up tremendously, and neither of them have any more earaches. Logan was a bit fussier since his cough is pretty bad, and he also appears to be teething. We did get out of the house, though, for a quick trip to Target today. It was much needed since we haven’t left this house since Sunday.
Easton also turned 7 on December 12th. We didn’t do a lot since it’s not the year for a big party and Jacob was working. But Jacob’s parents came over to celebrate and took us out to Pei Wei for dinner since Easton loves Chinese food. They got Easton a new bike and also bought a bow and arrow for Teagan. Teagan always does just fine when he doesn’t get presents but Grandma always buys him one too anyway.
And onto Christmas
Logan’s favorite gifts were anything that was wrapped in wrapping paper. He loved the wrapping paper. Paper is his favorite toy, hands down. He never gets to play with it .
Jacob and Logan also got UNLV shirts. They love the Rebels!
My parents got the kiddos those little motorized cars for them to ride around in. They were a big hit. I forgot to get pics of the boys at the Edgels because Logan was being fussy.
