11-2-11

Now that we are having a boy, which I am completely fine with and excited about, we have to come up with a name. The name that we both really like is Ledger. But say that with Edgel.  Then we don’t love it so much. We’re trying to think of a way to make it work, but honestly the only way it works is with a different last name.

On Monday I went into Easton’s class to hang out with him. It was just a fun Halloween party/craft day, and it was so cute to see him being a little student in his own little class. It’s so cute when it’s your own child! He’s such a sweet boy and so kind to other people in the class. After school we went to a little party of one of the kids in our ward. After the party I went to my prenatal appointment, and then later we went trick-or-treating with Bec, Jud, and Sadie at a neighborhood next to their house. Fun times. The boys got tired fast. But it’s not like we need the candy anyway so we were fine quitting early.  Neither of my boys wanted to wear their masks trick-or-treating. Next year, no masks.

Today I shot some bridals for my sister’s friend Courtney, and it was pretty freezing out. Tomorrow we have a potluck lunch with some of the kids in our ward (which really means social time for mommy) and then mutual later.

My boys have been saying funny things lately. Teags has been telling me when he wants a snack, “Mom, I want someping for my mouf.” And Easton likes to say, “Mom, can I have just one piece of food?”  They seriously make me laugh all the time. Which is why I’m happy that I’ll be surrounded by cute little boys that just love their mama!

Easton has been doing EXCELLENT with his reading. I have been doing a book with him called Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons, and it has done wonders for his reading abilities. He has made leaps and bounds just since the beginning of the school year. I have been so impressed with how quickly he has caught on, especially since at first I felt like he would NEVER be able to read. So that’s what we have been up to lately.
