Wednesday, April 24th

It’s never good to go more than a month without blogging, but here I find myself. I can’t say that we’ve been extra busy or life has been chaotic as much as I’ve just been lazy and involved in other things. I feel like my house is always dirty, and even if I’m not cleaning, I’m thinking about how I should be cleaning.  I used to be a better cleaner, but lately I wonder what the point is since it’s just going to get messy again.  A couple Mondays have gone by without me cleaning the entire house and baking bread and tortillas for the week. I’ve been having that feeling that I have when I’m first pregnant – that lack of motivation and energy, an intolerance towards people, and a general laziness. But I got myself together this Monday, and while I didn’t get a chance to clean or bake, I ran a gazillion errands. Same thing yesterday. Oh, and I’m not pregnant, I just have been feeling like I do when I’m first pregnant. But I’m not, although I plan to be this year. We’ll likely start “trying” in June. Mr. Logan is so cute (except for all last week when he was a NIGHTMARE from being sick), and I love the stage that he is at, but it’s going to pass quickly so I’ll need another one. I’ll just have to make it through those few miserable newborn months, and then all will be well. I want at least 5, but I can’t make any promises that I’ll stop there, and Jacob feels the same way. We’ll see when we get there.

Let’s see, what have I missed? Erin and her fiancé Austin came and stayed with us for a weekend so I could do their engagement pictures. The boys were big fans of their company as they are when anyone comes to visit, but they were very fond of Austin. According to Easton, he was just so nice and handsome. Their wedding is in June, and we will head down to Mesa for that  (Pay no attention to the homeless looking children in the picture).

We celebrated Easter with the Edgels and Romeros. We went to church with Jacob’s family and headed back to their house afterwards for yummy food and an egg hunt. I’m not big on the Easter bunny, and we would have done the events on Saturday but Jacob worked and my parents spent the day moving.  We then had hamburgers and hot dogs at my parents’ and Becca’s new house (nothing fancy, they just moved in the night before) and another egg hunt. Anthony and Geana announced that they are having a baby, and my parents were thrilled. Jaedyn will love having her own little sibling.

Do you ever see pictures of yourself and feel grateful that anyone would want to be your friend? I do. But Cooper is a doll. Always smiling at everything and everyone. Love that big-headed fatty.

Moving on. Sweet little Logan turned 1 on the 4th of April. He’s still not walking, he just crawls like a mad man to get where he needs to go. He pulls himself up on everything, thinks the stairs are greater than Disneyland, and has all of us in love with him. But he won’t stand on his own, and I’m thinking he won’t be walking anytime soon. Maybe around 14 months, so he's definitely later than my other boys. He’s one handsome little man (you can thank Teagan for the pictures of Logan and me). It is quite painful to do a photo session with this boy. He’s extremely active. He’s everywhere all the time and doesn’t sit still for anything. So in all the pictures he’s eating Craisins because he wouldn’t sit otherwise. I used to wonder why people took their children out of church because I never really had to take Easton or Teagan out. But Logan? We don’t even know what church is anymore. Isn’t church that place where you go to walk the halls with a crazy baby that can’t wander as he pleases?

Yes, yes he is beautiful.  We were going to have a party for him, but that requires effort and time that I wasn’t willing to put in (see the first paragraph). We had cake and ice cream at G-Ma and G-Pa Romero’s, so I got some pics of him then.

I like how Teagan thinks it’s his birthday and that every birthday song is for him. Logan just poked at the cake with his finger for a bit, and then he decided to dig right in. Love him.

I DIE with that face. Die.

Well that’s really all the major stuff. Oh, how is my healthy eating going? Pretty good, but I’ve lost no weight, and I’ve in fact gained 4 lbs. (Insert swear word)!!!!!! Curse my female body and slow metabolism and chubby genetics. No, I’m not giving up on my healthy eating, but my heck – can’t a girl catch a break? Or weight loss every now and then?! By the looks of me you’d think I sat around and ate garbage food all day, but I don’t. It’s absolutely frustrating to try so dang hard and have nothing to show for it. Curse.
