11-30-10 It’s Late

When I say it’s late I mean it’s 1:30 in the am. But this is not uncommon for mom to be awake way past normal hours. This is where I pick up the pieces of my sanity, you know, when those precious babies that call me Mama are finally asnooze in their beds. I regret going to bed late every night because of how tired I am come 7 am when Teagan starts his wake-up call. But I’ll get my rest when my kiddies are grown.

Thanksgiving was pleasant, all 3 of them. We had one on Tuesday with our friends at Amanda’s and Ryan’s home, then a couple on Thursday with my familia and Jacob’s, and finally one yesterday with my mother-in-law’s family. I spur-of-the-moment decided to go to K-Mart on black Friday at 5 am so that I could get a Little Tikes car for my Teags. I was there for an hour waiting in line, but I got it. That’s all I bought, and it was a little too insane for my taste. I prefer on-line shopping when it comes to the holidays.

We went to the circus on Thanksgiving evening, just Jacob and I and Becca and Juddy. It was nice to be out just with some grown-ups. Grown-ups are awesome.

We had the chance to go to the Magical Forest this year with Jacob’s family. We went Friday evening, and we had a wonderful time freezing our keesters off. One day, I assure myself, Teagan will stop throwing fits in public places and will just be a pleasant, submissive child. The kind that Jesus tells us to be like.  Here are a few pics from our lovely evening. We had so much fun.

There are always a million things to do, never enough time to do them, but if there were enough time I would likely complain that I have too much time on my hands. Can’t win.  I need to be better about journaling, not just documenting events. And soon I will have another baby – not yet – and then life will get even busier. I think when that happens I’ll just have to stop doing my hair or something.

Nadia is 5 and pitched a big one yesterday. They don't happen as often as they did in the past. Our kiddos are fiesty for a reason-just not sure what it is yet!

I would like to say that nothing makes me happier during the holidays than children crying hysterically on Santa's lap! I've got to find me a Santa to try it out with Ander :) am I terrible?
