The plan is to close on our house THIS next week. We are thrilled! We can’t wait to be our own little family in our own little home. I’m done moving, and I’m ready for stability in my life and in the boys’ lives. It will be such a blessing to have our own home. Here are some before shots of the house. We’re going to paint and redo the cabinets, so there’ll be some after pics when that’s all done and the house is decorated.
It’s 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms. It has wood floors throughout the whole house, except for carpet in the hallway and stairs. We went to our new ward today, and we loved it! It reminds me more of the wards I was in in Idaho where everyone is young and lots of new people are moving in. In the past 2 months there have been 18 new families in the ward. I can’t wait to meet new people and make new friends.
Our house is cozy, not large by any means, but it is going to be OUR house, and for that we love it. Plus, our mortgage payment will be under $600, and it doesn’t get any better than that.
So that’s our house.
Earlier this week my friend Anisha came into town from San Francisco to have her baby blessed with her family here in Vegas. We were able to get together for some family pics and dinner with her sister Ashley. These girls are a hoot.
I went to a zumba class on Tuesday with my friend Andrea. It was so much fun, and I think I’ll plan on making that my Tuesday routine. That way I get to see Andy every week :).
Oh, I’ve lost 5 lbs since a month ago. After all my working out and eating healthy, this is the first real loss I’ve seen on the scale. I’m very happy about that.
Yesterday we went with Becca, Jud, and Sadie to Bass Pro Shops and then to dinner at Claim Jumpers. Here are some shots from the day.
He didn’t like the manican, hee hee
There’s a lot going on in this post, but I have to catch up. I shot Fashion Night Out for Elie tahari in the Forum Shops last Friday. It was fun and a great experience.
Oh, this week Teagan learned how to escape from his crib, so nap times and bedtimes have been a lot less fun. It’s annoying, but so cute as well when an hour after I put him to bed at night he wanders out of his room with his eyes half open just because he thinks he can. Funny and not funny at the same time. Love that kid.
I’ve been really working on school with Easton. We’ve done great, and he really likes learning his school stuff.
So that’s it for the past couple weeks, but I do need to journal some thoughts I’ve had, particularly when I shot the Fashion Night and when I watched Joseph of Egypt with Easton. That’s a reminder for me to journal it later.
