And Onto January

So far it's been a very good month. Last week the boys and I went with Jacob and his family to their condo in Elk Meadows, just outside of Beaver, UT. We had so much fun playing in the snow and hanging out in the condo. We attempted to sled but Easton and I are wusses. We kept getting (ok, well, mostly me) stuck in the snow. It was so beautiful up there. I forget that there are places that are pretty outside of Las Vegas.

Puffer Lake, just up the road from their condo. All snowed over.

This is the slope we kept trying to sled down - 5 seconds down, 10 minutes up :)

This is the Edgel family's condo. How great is this spot? They have the condo on the end next to the sauna and picnic area.

That building houses the jacuzzi. But we couldn't use it because they have to wait until the snow is gone to get a new one up into the mountains.

So I like the idea of this picture, but it's terrible picture of me. We look cute together, though.

Nothing better than Teagan's cheesy grin. Can't get enough of that face.

Easton built snowmen with Jake's siblings. The big one is Easton and the little one is Teagan. Teagan has a faux hawk. Kinda.

No, I didn't let Easton play in the snow without gloves and a snow jacket. But I did let him take a picture without them. He's so hard to get in pictures, by the way. That's why Teagan is always in pictures - it's not because I don't love Easton just as much.

Oh look! A picture of that one kid that never lets me take pictures of him. And of course, he looks super excited.

So there were no snow pants to be found for Teagan so Jake's mom concocted this little snow outfit all on her own. A pair of toddler's snow pants and some trusty ol' duct tape. And when I looked at him I thought of my favorite Christmas movie, A Christmas Story. Except that Teagan is happy.

Cute pic of the two of them, huh.

Earlier this month on one beautiful Saturday Jake and I took my boys to Tule Springs. It's a state park here in Vegas with ponds and fishing and picnicing and animals. The boys had a blast. Teags chased the ducks, Easton ran for his terrified little life away from them, and Jake and I laughed hysterically at Easton's sheer terror. I comforted him too, of course, but I had no idea he'd be that afraid of them. They are mean little boogers, though. I did family pics at this spot and those pesky things were pecking at my feet. They are in no way afraid of people because they've figured out that people come with food.

He's so into clapping. And he's cute too. Very cute. And VERY super duper happy. Always happy just like this picture.

Baby T didn't mind the ducks/geese one bit. He was happy to be out of the stroller using those antsy little legs to follow the birds around.

At this point Easton kinda realized that these weren't flesh eating geese that would consume him whole. So he finally fed them. He also learned that if he chased them, they stopped chasing him. So that's what he did the rest of the time.

So this is the Jacob guy I keep talking about. This young lad and I have been dating for a couple months. We were friends first, and it's kinda funny that we are dating, but I think I'll save that story for another late night when I should be sleeping. We are a fun couple, though. We just click. We're clickers :).

He only wears goggles when shooting, don't worry. We're just the cutest little thing, aren't we?
