A Day For the History Books

It snowed for the 2nd time this week in Vegas. And what does Vegas do when it snows a few inches? It shuts down schools for tomorrow. That's right, the school district is taking a snow day. On the news the only story was the snowfall in Las Vegas. I like snow in Vegas. It's pretty, and you know that you'll wake up and it will be gone. It made me miss Meridian except that last winter it snowed there one too many times for me. Maybe tomorrow we'll wake up, and we can build snowmen. It was amazing that it snowed the entire day, though. That is something that hasn't happened since 1979 (I know - I watched the news). That was 5 years before I was born, so for all the 21 years that I've lived in Vegas, it's never snowed this much. It is pretty, though, so we'll all take what we can get.
Easton loves the Christmas tree. A little too much. He thinks that he can keep redecorating it. Poor Becca has anxiety about her constantly rearranged Christmas ornaments. I think he got the idea at Grandma's house because she let him decorate the tree, undecorate it, and then decorate it again, and he absolutely loved doing it. So I blame it on Grandma. Grandparents are there to give children liberties that the rest of us deprive them of. That's why Easton loves to be with Grandma and Grandpa more than anyone else.

The tree is such so tempting for a 3 year old boy! I can't believe school was cancelled!
Glad you came out with us last night!
