Cleaning Will Be the Death of Me
What can I say about cleaning? The chore that never gets done, the task that keeps going and going, the thorn in my side. Now, all you mothers, I know you feel this way too. Why is the laundry always calling? Why does the floor unsweep itself? Every day I clean to feel like it never gets clean. I could spend each day cleaning the entire house till it sparkled like diamonds only to have to do the exact same thing the very next day. Cleaning could be the sole purpose of my life if I allowed it to be because there is always something to clean. So when people ask who I am, what do I do, I should say, "Oh, I'm Rachel, and I clean." You wouldn't know it if you looked at my house - it's not a disaster, but there's always a room with hidden messes behind the door. Oh, and don't forget, you've got to eat and feed the kids, run errands, take a potty break, pay the bills, make the phone calls, try to exercise, read your scriptures, get dinner on the oven so that you can greet your husband with the aroma of a good meal and smile on your face - while looking pretty doing all of it. I can't seem to get it all done in one day. The sweeping, the mopping, the vacuuming, the dusting, the dishes, cleaning the windows, scrubbing the toilets and the bathtubs and the showers, the washing, folding, and putting away of the laundry, the fingerprints on the refrigerator, the crumbs on the countertops, the food on the kitchen table, the water spots on the couch, the toys on the floor, the pile of papers that you have no place for but can't throw away - AAAAgghh! Cleaning will be the death of me.

You are so funny! I agree though. I am all for hiring a maid at some point in my life when Justin is all done with school. I figure someone should get paid to clean my house, because Heaven knows I don't!!
Oh Rachel Rachel Rachel!!! I am so in the same boat! It amazes me when you drop by someones house and it is all clean, sure mine is clean...when I know you are coming...but if you just stop by...boy watch out!
AMEN!
You said it all! How can it be better said, I hope you're doing well! Now Kim, I've never seen her house a mess and I've dropped by many times! How does she do it!
(wink-wink)
Love ya~
Bonnie
amen sista, I hate cleaning! i will do the laundry but I absolutely hate folding and putting it away.
I wish I would be as enthusiastic about cleaning! But I'm not... I mean, our home is always in order, clean?... not so much. I do it once a week, except the additional table wiping, laundry, organizing toys and junk to their right places etc. But "better" cleaning than that happens only once a week. Unless guests are coming. So, I salute you! Your house, I really believe, must be pretty spotless! :)
Tell me about it. We don't even have kids yet and our house can get trashed in one day. However it doesn't take much time to clean up if we know someone's coming over. However I always have THE ROOM that we hide all the junk in. The worst for me is toilets and showers. Although probably really important to clean I just never do it and so when I do the shower takes forever b/c of all the soap scum... GROSS!!! Anyone know a good way to clean that stuff up? I've tried everything.
I stopped trying a long time ago..so if you plan on stopping by, give me an hours notice! by the way, we changed our blog...www.mattandjileneray.blogspot.com
you sound like you love it here!
Life!!! I couldnt have said it better
